The Maddalena Archipelago is located on the northwest coast of Sardinia, off the beautiful Smeralda Coast . The Maddalena archipelago is one of Sardinia's paradises, made up of seven islands: La Maddalena, Caprera, Spargi, Santo Stefano, Budelli, Santa Maria and Razzolli , and around sixty rocky islets : Capucchini, Montorio, Soffi, Nibani, Capuccini,…
This Maddalena archipelago was formed when tectonic movements separated Sardinia from Corsica. The Maddalena archipelago is known as the "seven sisters", which became a National Geomarine Park in 1994, the first national park created in Sardinia and one of the most preserved. The Maddalena archipelago has a coastline of 180 km of coastline and a wonderful landscape of granite rocks , heavenly beaches with crystal clear waters . What amazes the traveler when he arrives at the Maddalena islands are the colors of the sea. The shades are magnificent, ranging from turquoise blue to emerald green. Thus the white sand of the beaches and coves is breathtaking, the impossible shapes of the granite rocks sculpted by the wind with the lush scrub as a backdrop.
In addition to its rich natural heritage, the Maddalena archipelago has an important historical and cultural heritage . Personalities such as Napoleon, Horacio Nelson, Giuseppe Garibaldi, Andrea des Geneys or Domenico Millelire are part of the history of the islands.
