There is a pearl set in the North of Sardinia, on the coast of Gallura:
a port that has become a renowned tourist center surrounded by unspoiled beaches.
A small tourist establishment appears in front of the national park of the archipelago of La Maddalena . In Porto Rafael the dominant colours are the blue of the sea which contrasts with the white of the houses of the village located at the northern tip of the island, in the territory of Palau which is a few kilometres away, and in Porto Cervo , the heart of the Costa Smeralda . Founded in the Sixties by the Spanish Count Rafael Neville de Berlanga del Duero, the tourist centre is characterised by a small square, which directly overlooks Cala Inglese , also called 'the swimming pool of Porto Rafael', and by white houses buried in colourful gardens. It is a renowned destination for summer holidays, frequented by figures from the world of international entertainment, but also a place suitable for families and lovers of relaxation and social life.
