Alongside the flora, the Corsican fauna will also offer you some wonderful discoveries.
Bird watching is a particularly recommended activity in Corsica as the diversity of bird species is important. Audouin's gull, in the Finocchiarola Islands, is one of the many protected species, as is the bearded vulture.
On the shore, it is the shags that are the most visible. The mouflon, emblem of Corsica, is visible in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of Corsica where it is under high surveillance!
The wild boar and the Corsican deer are two other species typical of this region. There are also lizards endemic to Corsica as well as a species of tortoise, the Hermann's tortoise.
The aquatic fauna is also very rich with dentex, barracudas, groupers, moray eels and lobsters.
